Update on WCF strategic work plan and WCF tools
To lead the implementation of the new WCF strategic work plan, adopted during the last World Chambers Congress in Melbourne, the WCF Chair has established four Task Forces covering our priority work streams: (i) Policy & SMEs, (ii) Services and Product Innovation, (iii) Network Growth, and (iv) Events. These Task Forces operate alongside the WCF Women’s Council and the permanent WCF Councils on Certificates of Origin and ATA Carnet.
Below is a brief overview of each Task Force (TF):
- Policy and SMEs: this TF aims at amplifying the voice of chambers and SMEs in ICC policy work by increasing the awareness and participation of chambers in global policy commissions and propose new areas of work for consideration. It also spearheads the development of our annual Chamber Pulse survey. This TF will work in coordination with NCs and ICC's policy department. The first meeting is scheduled for 8 December.
- Services and Product Innovation: this TF is looking at ways to improve, scale or transform the business models of existing WCF services, such as Origin solutions and the new Chamber Benchmarking Tool, and to review ideas for new WCF services and partnerships.
- Network Growth: this TF is expanding WCF’s global presence and collaborating with National Committees on outreach to new chambers.
- Events: this TF is refining WCF’s events strategy and strengthening the sustainability of our WCF events business model.
