For the first time, ICC Italy and ICC Iran held a joint seminar titled “Iranian Economic Potentials” on 28 & 30 Oct. 2015 in Rome and Milan respectively. The purpose of holding the seminar was to address Iran's economic potential to the Italian business community.
According to the report of ICC Italy, a group of investors and experts from Iran and Italy attended in the seminar which was organized by ICC Italy and ICC Iran with the cooperation of Iran-Italy joint chamber.
ICC Iran chairman Mohsen Jalalpour, ICC Iran Secretary General Mohammad Mehdi Behkish, and Maria Beatrice Deli ICC Italy Secretary General presented information about Iranian economic potentials and discussed about Iran's position in the Middle East and its Macroeconomic policies for Italian companies.
The president of Iran chamber of commerce Mr Jalalpour pointed out the investment opportunities of Iran and encouraged businessmen to visit Iran. Referring to the course of economic growth in the sanction period and prospects in the coming years, Behkish stated this joint action reflects Italian’s strong interest for cooperating with Iran in the economic fields. He also continued to explain about the history of Commercial and industrial bilateral cooperation.
The session was continued by Hossein Salimi, ICC Iran treasure where he presented information about the current activities of foreign investors in Iran. Afterwards, Ahmad Pourfallah, Iran-Italy Joint Chamber of Commerce Chairman, Rosario Alessandrello Italy-Iran Joint Chamber of Commerce Chairman and Pierluigi Dagata Italy-Iran Joint Chamber of Commerce Secretary General, had expressed their views among few others including representatives of SACE and Banks. Also Ali Matinfar and Reza Miandareh, members of Iranian Embasy in Italy presented at the conference.
According to ICC Italy, the seminar welcomed the Italian companies and it was an opportunity to encourage the participants to start cooperation with Iran.
