The ICC Iran Council Meeting at Iran Chamber of Commerce Building - On August 18, ICC Iran held a meeting Chaired by Mohsen Jalalpour ICC Iran Chair to review previous year operation and to verify action plan of year 1394, hosted by International Chamber of Commerce of Iran, with a special focus on review and approval the Iranian National Committee budget and planning for the current year.
According to ICC Iran PR; This formal session, with participating more than 50% of the members was opened.
Mohammad Mehdi Behkish, Secretary General who opened the meeting and welcomed participants. He reviewed the meeting agenda and demanded for confirmation vote to select Mohsen Jalalpour as ICC Iran chair and Masoud Khansari as ICC Iran vice chair.
“After lifting sanction on Iran, it is necessary to enhance the use of capacities which are provided by ICC” said Dr.Behkish and also he stressed that he believed new events will introduce to ICC Iran in the near future.
Dr. Behkish also stressed about ICC Iran advisory services which are highly welcomed by members and non members (chaired by Mohammad S. Zoghi as Senior Director) and said advisory services office has held the Q & A sessions to assist solving problems of business society Since 1391.
Formation of two new commissions was the next item discussed. According to Dr. Behkish “Taxation commission” & “Trade and Investment commission” were formed to promote foreign direct investment and eliminates tax obstacles of international transactions and also to examine major policy issues of interest to world business.
The meeting was continued by introductions of present secretaries in charge of ICC Iran and was focused on reports of last year Commissions' activities.
“For the first time a seminar on Iranian Economic Potentials will be held on 28 -30 Oct. 2015 in Italy hosted by ICC Italy. This seminar will address Iran's economic potential to the Italian businesses organized by ICC Iran and Iran-Italy chamber and participation of Iranian delegations could be fruitful” said Dr.Behkish.
The session followed by Mr. Jalalpour, ICC Iran chair where he pointed out the key role of ICC in Iran and also reminded that ICC and its activates should be more considered by Iran chamber of commerce. “ICC Iran because of its position and status to promote and improve trade should be faced with no restrictions and certainly to reach this goal needs facilities and Iran Chamber as supporter (not host) is to provide the requirements.”
The meeting also served to explain the commissions achievements during previous year and future action plans for current year by secretaries of commissions and was closed with the approval of ICC Iran budget and programs for year 1394.
