ICC Iran holds the Sixth Meeting of its Liaison Representatives Virtually

ICC Iran held the sixth meeting of its liaison representatives in the presence of education directors as well as liaisons from more than 30 domestic Chambers of Commerce virtually on July 5, 2021.

 

Congratulating “Khorramabad Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines and Agriculture” on its selection as the “Chamber of Month in July by ICCWCF”, ICC Iran Secretary-General, Mr. Mohammad Khazaee, appreciated the mentioned Chamber for its active and dynamic relation with ICC Iran and encouraged other Chambers for more effective membership and presence.

 

According to ICCWCF report, the Chambers of the Month in 2021 are as follow:

 

1. January2021: London Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Europe)

2. February2021: Auckland Business Chamber (Oceania)

3. March2021: Federation of Belgian Chambers of Commerce (Europe)

4. April 2021: The Confederation of Asia-Pacific Chambers of Commerce and Industry (Asia. Oceania)

5. May2021: The Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture of Beirut and Mount-Lebanon (Middle East & North Africa)

6. June 2021: The Brampton Board of Trade, in Ontario, Canada (North America)

7. July 2021: Khorramabad Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines and Agriculture, Iran (Middle East & North Africa)

 

Mr. Khazaee stated; “Membership in ICC NCs is the requisite to benefit from some ICC services, it means some of ICC services are provided just for its members, in this regard for leveraging ICC services and participating in ICC international events, membership in ICC through National committees is appreciated.”

 

Mr. Khazaee added; “It is possible to hold specific educational courses for all domestic Chambers of Commerce in all provinces. Domestic Chambers considering the needs of their provinces can submit their requests to ICC Iran for appropriate courses related to the mandates of ICC.”

 

Mr. Khazaee emphasized the possibility of free of charge participation for ICC Iran liaison representatives in educational courses provided by ICC Iran, and stated that this is a proper opportunity to scale up the knowledge level in international scope.”

 

Pointing out the selection of Mr. “Yavari” from “Tehran Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines and Agriculture” for ICC IBHRWG, he stated that, “We look forward to hearing more about the presence and participation of the members of other domestic Chambers in ICC diverse Working Groups and Task Forces”

 

ICC Banking commission Member and ICC Iran Banking Commission Secretary, Mrs. Tazhibi, provided information in details about the history and the necessity of ICC rules and regulations for businesses communities.

 

Emphasizing the necessity of the use of the mentioned rules regulated in ICC commissions and working groups in standardizing and establishing a common language for businesses around the world, she also answered the questions of the participants.

 

In addition, ICC Iran training officer, “Ms. Raheleh Yaghini” pointed out ICC Iran advisory services in different areas; including arbitration, transportation, customs, banking and insurance,  and she presented a report about the recently held 34 courses for the private sector and domestic chambers of commerce during the last four months.

 

At the end of the meeting, participants engaged in Q&A regarding the above-mentioned issues.
