ICC Chamber members from over 100 countries were called to vote these past few weeks to elect the twenty chamber leaders to serve on the WCF General Council, beginning on January 1st, 2023, and ending on June 30th of, 2025.
As such, I am delighted to extend my congratulations and confirm your election to serve on the WCF General Council. I look forward to working together in connecting chambers, supporting MSMEs in collaboration with ICC, and contributing to our strategy to develop and reinforce our chamber community.
Over the past few days, and based on the election results, we have been working hard to identify our additional co-opted members to ensure a balanced cross-representation of our worldwide membership to serve on the Council. In the coming days, we will officially communicate the complete list of WCF General Council members.
An orientation session will also be organized virtually in January 2023. This will be an opportunity for new members to understand the mission of WCF General Council and the priorities for the upcoming year.
In the meantime, the WCF team at the ICC Headquarters will reach out to you about the role of the Council members as well as determine your areas of interest in strengthening and serving the global chamber community.
Finally, I am also happy to announce that our first meeting for the new WCF General Council will be held on 28 February 2023 in Bogota, Colombia, and I look forward to seeing you there.
