Following the announcement of Bandar Abbas Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines & Agriculture to join ICC WCF Certificate of Origin (CO) Chain, and further arrangements made by ICC Iran National Committee, Bandar Abbas Chamber of Commerce joined ICC WCF CO Chain.
The ICC WCF International Certificate of Origin Accreditation Chain (CO Chain) created in September 2012 based on international guidelines to which chambers can adhere on a voluntary basis. It represents ICC WCFs commitment in its push for global harmonization in the issuing process of Certificates of Origin.
Having signed the ICC WCF CO Protocol, chambers guarantee that they will commit to the highest level of quality, implementing transparent and accountable verification procedures. Accredited chambers will then receive a distinctive internationally recognized quality label, reinforcing their integrity and credibility as competent trusted third parties in the issuance of Certificates of Origin, which appears next to their chamber stamp on the CO Form.
For chambers of commerce, being part of the CO Accreditation Chain helps reinforce and promote their central role as trade and service facilitators. Membership of the Accreditation Chain reassures businesses, traders, banks and customs administrations that their COs are issued according to the most stringent and harmonized standards from trusted third parties.
According to the report of https://certificates.iccwbo.org/ website, around 700 accredited chambers from 26 countries are affiliated to the International CO Accreditation Chain.
Meanwhile, Tehran Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines and Agriculture has been affiliated to the International CO Accreditation Chain since 2016.
