Iran ICC national committee held the first virtual summit of local chambers of commerce on June 7th, 2020.
The secretary-general of Iran ICC national committee, Mr. Mohammad Khazaee, welcomed the local chambers' representatives and opened the summit by highlighting the key purpose including the introduction of ICC to local chambers and clarification of mission and vision. He continued his speech about the well-devised plan for a network comprising of local chambers' representatives. He emphasized on the efficiency of the network in enabling business work for everyone.
Mr. Mohammad Khazaee said: "the network of representatives provides an efficient situation to transfer ICC's trade experiences and knowledge to local chambers and consequently, to business leaders." He continued: "the prominent Iran ICC national committee's task is to train representatives through monthly meetings and courses enabling local chambers to exchange their experiences with other local chambers or even with other national committees. The nature of such networks, indeed, contributes Iran ICC Committee to accomplish mission." To this end, he suggested that chambers could provide useful reports on actions taken to facilitate trade and then share to others.
Pointing out the importance of the network including local chambers' representatives, Mr. khazaee expected that Iran ICC committee takes advantage of the collaboration of chambers for trade development.
